Robert (Bob) Stoney had an electrical shop in Ringwood and was married with 2 daughters.
Bob played at Ringwood Cricket Club before moving to East Ringwood – he appears on the East Ringwood player list as a new player for the 1929-30 cricket season in the RDCA records of the time.He was on the founding committee of the East Ringwood Cricket Club in around 1928 and served on that committee from its inception until 1945.He was Treasurer of the club in 1933-34 and served as President in 1940-41. Bob was the club delegate to the RDCA from 1931-32 until 1939-40.
Obviously helping establish and administer East Ringwood as well as operating a business did not fill in enough of Bob’s time.Records show that he was on the RDCA Executive from 1932-33 until the early 1940’s.Bob was on the Association’s selection committee for 4 years from 1934-3, was Treasurer in 1933-34 and served the Association as Vice President from 1937-38 until 1939-40.
Bob Stoney was awarded Life Membership of the Association in 1938-39.
