Gordon Chapman played at North Ringwood Cricket Club before moving to Bedford Cricket Club (now East Ringwood). He was an Accountant by profession and was described as being 'very sharp' on the Rules of the Association in later years.
He was not a member of the Executive at any time, except when a Vice President, although it appears he was effectively 'seconded' to be the Association's 'odd jobs' person for many years. It seems he kept the registration records for around 10 years before an official position was created to care for that task.
Gordon was an early Auditor of the Association's Financial Statements in the 1920's and then served on the Tribunal for several years. He was a Vice President of the Association from 1930/31 to 1934/35 and was later a Patron in 1939/40.
He was awarded Life Membership of the Association at the Annual General Meeting on 30th August 1932.
The signature of Gordon Chapman was taken from the RDCA Minute Book
