The RDCA Board is saddened by news of the passing yesterday of Roy Baldwin (Life Member and Kilsyth stalwart).

Roy gave great service to Kilsyth, being on the committee for 44 years, 26 of which were as Secretary and he was club delegate to the RDCA for 28 years.

In addition to his club contribution, Roy played representative games for the RDCA, he served on Junior and Senior committees, was a selector for Representative teams and managed the RDCA indoor centre for a year back in the eighties.

Roy was awarded RDCA Life membership in the 1984/85 season, his service to junior cricket is recognised with the U.12 (1) competition being known as the Roy Baldwin Shield and the back ground at Kilsyth is named the Roy Baldwin Oval.

Roy was also awarded an Order of Australia medal for service to sport and the community.

Our condolences are extended to the Baldwin family.
