The Lilydale Cricket Club is seeking the services of a Senior Captain/Coach for Season 2017/18 and beyond, who can guide our club to continued finals and premiership success.
The club plays in the Ringwood & District Cricket Association, currently fielding 5 senior sides, 6 junior sides and a Milo In2CRICKET program. After winning the Bill Wilkins Cup in 2015/16, our First XI took the step up to the top tier Lindsay Trollope Shield in 2016/17, finishing first on the ladder and making it to a preliminary final.
It has been the club’s determination in nurturing our younger group of players and instilling a solid foundation of social culture and discipline within the club, that has seen such on-field success in recent years. We offer outstanding playing facilities based at Lilydale Reserve, with strong support from a motivated administration.
Successful applicants will be responsible for overseeing individual and team development across the senior club, undertaking match day duties as First XI captain, as well as assisting our junior coaches in transitioning younger players into the senior ranks.
Overall, successful applicants should possess:
· Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills
· The ability to develop and implement training plans and exercise regimes
· A strong work ethic and drive to succeed
· Be a positive influence around the club and at social functions
· Premier/Sub-District experience or having completed a relevant coaching accreditation
If you feel that you have the necessary skills to fulfil this role, we would love to hear from you.
Remuneration is negotiable. All applicants, expressions of interest and enquiries will be treated with the strictest of confidence, as always.
Applications close: Sunday 9th April 2017.
